Storms in the NorthEast

Storms in the NorthEast

The last three nights we’ve had some pretty severe storms in the evenings and into the night. The first night we had hail with the storm, the second night the thunder sounded like freight trains and the wind snapped our awning right off. Three tornados touched down in Chicago that night. There have been many fallen trees, power outages and flooding is significant. We decided it was safest to stay in a hotel the third night. That night a derecho along with 10 tornadoes, possibly 29, according to NYT’s, touched down! Besides the local news, only the NYT covered a bit of the story. So, i decided to share this news! The Derecho cloud is very rare!

This was the only news site I could find with weather watch/warnings previous to the third night.

Heres the local report on the third night, with CBS.
