Las Vegas, NV

We had a great time in Las Vegas. It was good to travel again, do some exploring and see some neat stuff after the winter months in Arizona.

Historic Las Vegas. Fremont street.

Half the street is restaurants and the other half is covered by a video screen and has original casinos, souvenir shops, street performers, live music and drinks.

In the Golden Nugget casino is a 60lbs gold nugget.

Las Vegas Strip Highlights

The Flamingo has a free natural area with flamingos, ducks and turtles that you can walk through.

Circus Circus has a free parking garage. There are bus stops along the strip that make it fairly easy to get around. Free during the weekday. Circus Circus also has a free 15 minute act every hr during the day.

An infamous wedding chapel.

I really enjoyed the Bellagio Hotel garden and bakery shop. Just through the lobby. Free.

There is a fountain show in the evenings outside in front of the hotel every half hr but note it’s only about five minutes long.

Another favorite was the Venetian Shoppes. Free. (Stay on the same floor you came in. Escalator goes down to a casino.)

There are two neat “speak easy” bars, themed-secret prohibitions bars, along the strip.
