This is a neat ladies breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea cafe I had the pleasure of trying out with a special cousin in-law of mine. The Modern Rose, Ft Lauderdale.

If youre in the mood for fresh Mochi after Ramen, go to Crazy Poke, a block away. ItsThey fly a large variety of flavors hand-made in NY. Our favourite were the fruit flavors and sweet potato. It

Okay! We’ve been a little heart broken, missing the pizza in the Tampa area, but, we’ve found a pretty good place here on the East coast now! Luigi’s Coal Fired Pizza, Forte Lauderdale. Antipasto salad was impressive too! Lots of surprises underneath!

Craft Tacos, Forte Lauderdale, FL
Great handcraft cocktails, tasty guac and salsas, yummy tacos, fajitas, nachos, quesadilla and elotes-Mexican street corn.

ClearSky Beachside Restaurant, Clearwater, FL was a great place for breakfast. The “virgin” Caesar was great. (Make sure to get them from the lady at the caesar bar not the restaurant menu.) The shrimp and grits were great too! Yes, I did say breakfast! lol

The boys ate good too!

Turns out the north of Tampa bay area has surprisingly great pizza! Run buy local Italians, importing Italian flour, making their own marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, and of course cooking in wood fired ovens. Eating it felt like home, comfort food, for lack of better ways to describe it. Especially, the sausage and basil pizza at Inferno Pizza in Holiday, FL. We ate there three times! We don’t normally eat that much pizza, but it was that good! The antipasto salad was good, too, and the small was large enough to share.
The second one we came across was Pie 12 Neapolitan coal fired pizzeria in Largo, FL. The sausage and basil pizza became my husbands new favourite pizza. (I think the owner was having an off night with his crust though.) Their Tiramisu was perfect aswell. I mean perfect.

The Greeks, Hiliday, FL is a food truck with an enclosed sitting area. The gyros has a spicy garlic sauce and they come with fries in them, which seems to be the thing to do in FL. They are impressive, as is the greek salad!

Wanna Bao, Houston, TX has made to order, homemade soup dumplings. If you’re never had them before, this dumpling has a sort of meatball inside and broth. Comfort food. (I think all dimplings are.) They usually need time to cool so you dont burn your mouth. Delicious. Always wishing there were more.

Migo, Houston TX Ramen comes in rich flavourful broth. You can also order it “dry,” and have the ramen noodles on the side. The beef stew or duck was full of flavour, YUM.

Makers and Finders, Las Vegas, NV has a delicious mexican twist on breakfast. Roasted organic coffee, too!

Just down the street, I think at Main st. Provisions, there is a bread and pastry counter that is great too.
Pizza Wagon, Hurricane, Utah makes homemade pizza in a wood fired oven. Hits the spot after a long days hike.

Rush In Dumplings, Olympia, WA served homemade Alaskan dumplings. Russian. Soo tasty! I crave it! Yum.

Perogy on a Fork, Glendon AB makes homemade perogies. This is a Ukrainian dumpling. We tried the sampler platter with a variety if perogies and enjoyed them very much!
