Just north of Cape Cod and south of Boston is a great spot for a history lesson! Here you can see and learn about the Patuxet people, some of the first pilgrims and walk through their villages. You can also walk aboard the Mayflower II.

Mayflower II
A gift from Britain. The re-creation of the Mayflower that was rented by the pilgrims in search of a new home so they could have religious freedom. 102 in total. They lived on second deck. Third dec were their supplies. They also brought aboard a boat that they had taken apart. First deck was for the crew of about 26. The voyage across took two months but in actuality it took about six months do to unforeseen circumstances. Settling late, end of year, half the pilgrams died in winter trying to build homes while still using the ship to board in. Mayflower left that spring. Second deck was built 8 inches higher fir people to walk through. Mayflower was a cargo ship so nirmally second deck held cargo.
