Toured the mine, warehouse and dug for quartz crystals. (No picture taking is allowed in the warehouse.) What happens is they dig in an open pit. Then, when they see quartz clusters they stop and remove them. They are cleaned and sold. The dirt is pilled and people can dig through that to find what they missed, smaller quartz, fragments etc.. We stopped here once before and always have fun digging for treasures in the dirt!
