Seattle, WA

A return to Seattle.

We can’t visit Seattle without stopping at the market.

Fun new options.

Pikes chowder continues to maintain its quality.

Seattle and state is really gorgeous, brimming with mountains, forests, lakes and islands. People here are pretty relaxed. It’s quiet even for a big metropolitan area. Driving around the neighborhoods feels like you’re in a park. Traffic is peaceful too. No constant honking or people being impatient. After seeing so many different places I think that I can conclusively say that environments really do affect peoples state of mind. Nature’s good for us!

One thing we really enjoy doing is taking a ferry to an island and checking it out. This time we took the Mukilteo ferry to Langley on Whidbey Island.

The town has some neat little shops, an ice cream shop, a modern coffee shop, a nice little restaurant where you can find fresh seafood entrees and even a cool ramen restaurant for rainy days!

We enjoyed the whale museum.

Next door is Whidbey Pies Pie Shop and they make fantastic pies! They even use local berries and use just the right sweetness. You can buy by the slice or whole pies. We tried a few different slices to try the different flavors.

Lovely way to spend a weekend day.

We really enjoyed Narrative coffee shop. Of course, Seattle has great coffee in just about every shop. There’s nearly a coffee shack on every corner too! Lol! They love their coffee! I think it must be for those cloudy rainy winter months.

Seattle leading the way with coffee. This is the first time we’d seen an espresso cocktail. (To the left.) This one was us espresso with hints of lavender and lemon. Oddly refreshing.

Oh! And worthy to note, Saturdays during the summer months Everrett has a lovely farmers market with local produce, baking and crafts. We couldn’t believe how many dogs were there and not one of them were aggressive. Just goes to show how just being relaxed affects our dogs behaviors too. Lovely.
