A great place for vacation! There’s a plethora of things to see and do. It’s rich in history with lots of tours, beaches and great places to eat, as-well as, typical touristy stuff like a neat shop area, Ripleys and a wax museum. Theres something for everyone to enjoy!
(Ponce de Leon Hotel, now a college and a big attraction is currently closed for tours do to construction.)

Castle Ottis-on private property built by the owner. Open Sunday mornings. A miniature Irish Abbey.

Fort Matanzas-free

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument-free with national park pass

Alcazar Hotel
Now a museum housing a variety of collectables like taxidermy, music players, figurines, crystal, kitchen ware etc.. A bit quirky but this is what i enjoyed.

Memorial Presbyterian Church
Built by a wealthy father for his daughter who died during childbirth. The family is entombed here as well.
At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about this display of wealth, however, if a wealthy man would do this for his daughter, and if all men would feel that same way despite what money he has, then it certainly is a grand display of the depths of love. That is something to ponder.

Australian Coffee Roaster. Yummy Aussie take on traditional coffee selections.

Les Petites Pleasures
A very nice french bakery. Lovely french staff owned by a master baker from France. Serving the best french toast you’ve ever Sunday mornings. Like bread pudding.

There were lots of food trucks, taco places seafood and little bars. We look forward to returning again to enjoy it more!
