Woodfire pizza Rockford, IL

Smokin Coop BBQ Pit, Belvidere IL is nothing fancy. I would describe it as comfort bbq, which is just as enjoyable. Voted Robs best loaded baked potato ever.

Popular for their loaded baked potatoes!

This beef brisket sandwich is pretty lean, but its tender and lovely dipped in an jus. The butter loaded baked potato is loaded with butter as titled, no dryness all.

Sycamore, our favourite little farm town on the outskirts of Chicago. It has all the basic amenities but also a cute historic downtown with a great coffee shop, donut shop, ice cream shop, an excellent butcher-hotdog sandwich shop, golf course, activity centre and little pubs. Noah enjoyed the batting cage and driving range.

Best breve I’ve had in a long time! Beautifully roasted beans.

Soft ice cream affogato. (Espresso with ice cream.)

We re-visited this butcher shop/deli shop a few times. You can buy items to eat or to cook at home. Great weiners, extra smoky, polish sausages, bratwurst, brisket burger patties etc along with a large variety of sides and pies individually sliced and ready to go. All homemade there! Awesome!
